Homeownership Program
The Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) homeownership program allows families that are assisted under the HCV program to use their voucher to buy a home and receive monthly assistance in meeting homeownership expenses. The program is limited to first-time homeowners who have received housing counseling and meet the minimum income requirements.
If you are a Housing Choice Voucher holder and have the desire to own a home of your own, the Housing Choice Voucher Homeownership Program may be right for you.
The homeownership option is limited to 20 families of the total Section 8 voucher program administered by the McAllen Housing Commission in any fiscal year.
If you have any questions about the HCV Homeownership Program, please call our office at (956)686-3951.
